Workshop Policy

Registration

Payment in full for any workshop is required at time of booking.  Any project selection and/or customization information for your project is also required at that time. Please be sure to double check your spelling and information to ensure your project materials will be ready for you at the start of the workshop.  You can register for a workshop on-line or in-person at our Boutique.

Private Parties / Group Events

We welcome private parties, corporate events, community groups, etc.  Location of the workshop will depend on the number of attendees.  If the group is large enough, we can make arrangements to come to your location.  In any case we require that all attendees register and provide any project related selections at least 1 week in advance so we can prepare the materials for your event.

What's Included

The workshop includes all materials to complete said project and maybe even a coffee break with some snacks.

Workshop Cancellation Policy

Due to the custom nature of our studio, registration fees are non-refundable. Registration cancellations made at least 72 hours in advance of a workshop will be granted a full credit for a future workshop (within 90 days - subject to availability). Unfortunately, we are unable to grant a credit for cancellations less than 72 hours or no-shows. If unforeseen circumstances happen and you are not able to attend the workshop you are scheduled / registered for, we suggest you find a friend or family member to come in your place so that you do not lose the reservation fee you paid.

Due to staffing, we reserve the right to cancel workshops if attendance is below 4 attendees.

Project Change Request

If you would like to make changes to your project selections within 72 hours of your workshop, we would be happy to accommodate your request for a $15 fee, payable upon the start of your workshop.

Custom Request

We would be happy to design a custom project or event for you and/or your group. Please contact us at service@gratefullyrestored.ca to discuss such details and pricing.

Cell Phone Use

We would ask that upon entering our Studio, that you please set your phone to do-not-disturb (DND). This will help the workshop to be conducted in a manner that minimizes interruptions for all involved.  We welcome you to take pictures of the project that you are working on and share it on social media, but ask that you are conscious of those around you who may not wish to be photographed.  Please contact us at service@gratefullyrestored.ca to discuss any special circumstances that may warrant an exemption.

Age Restriction

We enjoy having children in our studio for special events (birthday party, community group, school outing), however if they are under the age of 7 they are not permitted in our studio while a workshop is being held. If you bring an infant or child (under 7 years old) to a workshop, you will not be permitted to participate in the workshop at that time, you will forgo your registration fee(s), and be asked to rebook for a different workshop (when you can attend child-free and enjoy the educational / social experience fully).

Currently we are not offering any events for children under the age of 7. However, we would be happy to design a custom project or event for those 7 years of age or older. Please contact us at service@gratefullyrestored.ca to discuss such details and pricing.

Safety Waiver

I understand that I will use and/or be exposed to power tools, hand tools, furniture refinishing products (paints, stains, etc), craft supplies, etc during Gratefully Restored workshops. I recognize there may be certain inherent risks in participating in Gratefully Restored workshops. I agree to take precautions and observe all Gratefully Restored's policies, recommendations, directions, rules and warnings; whether provided orally or in writing. I assume full responsibility for personal injury to myself and my personal belongings. I agree to be responsible for any damages to Gratefully Restored's tools, equipment or facilities, to the extent and in the percentage I cause such damages. I further agree to release and discharge Gratefully Restored for any injury, loss or damage that may arise out of my participation in Gratefully Restored workshops or my presence in Gratefully Restored facilities whether caused by me, Gratefully Restored or any third party. I agree to indemnify and defend Gratefully Restored against all claims, causes of action, damages, judgments costs or expenses including reasonable attorney’s fees and other litigation costs which may in any way arise from my participation in Gratefully Restored workshops or my presence in Gratefully Restored facilities.
